Dinner & Dance

Last night was our Dinner & Dance held at Swissotel..

The ballroom was damn huge, and obviously it is definitely a big company..
The emcee of the night, Flying Dutchman and Justin!! Super cool both of them..
But I like Justin very much. He was the emcee last year at my prev company, L'Oreal Singapore's Dinner & Dance at Chiangmai, Bangkok.
He was such a great emcee that night at Chiangmai and we had so much fun laughing the whole night!! Now even when I watch the video of our dinner that night, I will still laugh at his jokes and all the things he did on that stage.. He is definitely the best emcee I've ever met.

Anyway I didnt bring my camera, so I had to steal the photos off banana's blog..
Went to Ruxin's place to get ready after work.. And then to Swissotel...

I find the dinner nothing comparable to the one I've tasted at Club Chinois.. Wasn't appetizing at all and BOO!!!!!!!! I DIDNT WIN ANYTHING AT THE DINNER! but I had a fun time with the girls.. Thanks babes!

I have pressie again!

Today banana dropped something at my desk for me...

I was surprised even though she already told me she got something for me yesterday, but I thought it was something small.. BUT it's not..

She gave me a Paul Frank sleeping shorts, a Paul Frank keyring in a shape of an apple, and one of my favorite snack Yan-Yan...





I'm so happy...!!! I love you babe, love the shorts, love the keyring and love the snack!
But PLEASE stop spending money on mE!!!



You must be wondering what was the commotion thru the mail about..
I was telling banana that my baby is going for reservist next month..
Something that I hate..
And he will be going for 3 weeks..
DARN!!!

For those who are readers of this blog, expect lots of complaints from me about me missing him between 6th Aug - 24th Aug... SOB SOB....

Then it was dinner with baby at Youth Park..
I love spending time with him....

20.07.2007 was our wedding day..

It was a lovely day, there was no rain, so scorching sun... Perfect weather..
And everything was smooth... Almost everything....
We cant be more happy...

In case you have been visiting this space for updates, sorry I do not have any photos yet but I will definitely post them once I have them in my hands...

But here is a little something I can share with everybody.. It's the morning video of the wedding day..

A very big thank you to all the brothers and sisters that helped out at the wedding, namely Terence, Huat, Junwee, Eugene, Jeremy, Ben, Shihui, Shimin, Michelle and my dearest banana..

It was an unforgettable day and thank you all for the well wishes..

3rd day after our wedding...

Tradition is that on the 3rd day of wedding, the bride and groom has to go back to the bride's house to visit the parents..

SO we went home to visit my papa and mama..
But before that, we went to Elias Road, baby's grandma hse to offer tea to her because she missed the tea ceremony on our wedding...

Then to my parent's place..

We were so tired we took a little nap there..

Then it's steamboat dinner with banana, eugene, junwee & wife..

Today i had to go home, so after packing everything, baby sent me home for me to be with my family and he went to Bro Terence's place to have the bridal car done up...

The bears are so sweet and cute and the color of the flowers is so nice... Purple! One of my favorite color and baby picked them..

Baby sent me the pictures of the car to show me how nicely done it was and I must say baby did a good job... Thanks darling..

haha, no la, did some last minute seating arrangements and had home cooked dinner...

YUMMY!

I know it looks kinda gross.. But nothing beats home cooked food... It's truly yummy and delicious... & there was also my favorite ABC soup which I drank one big bowl.....

Darling, it's just another few hours away....

Wedding Preparations....

So its 2 days to the wedding and we had to do some last minute preparations.....

I had to go home tomorrow so today gotta help baby with cleaning up our room and preparing it for the wedding day... =)

First, gotta prepare the bedsheet...

We bought this from Aussino months ago for the wedding.. Finally can use already!! =D

We clean every corner, every furniture, tidied up everything and pasted "DoubleHappiness" stickers on everywhere I can paste...haha..

Notice the white scrolls the angels are holding in their bags? those are love scrolls we folded and put in... Very interesting....

We cant wait for the day to come..

Sunday - Off Day

We woke up to a super lazy Sunday off....
Went to Causeway Point for breakfast cum lunch.. and I was craving for Yan-Yan..

We went to China Square for the flea market and then went to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple at Chinatown...



this is located on the top storey of the temple, its a revolving thing, u have to put ur hand on the rail and walk around it 3 times for good luck.. we did it.

Then I was abit hungry.. So I had a Goreng Pisang (BANANA!! It's a fried version of you!)

So we went around Chinatown, waiting for Jun and his wife to come meet us for dinner...
Baby and I went to search for the type of cake that he likes...
THose super old school, creamy and colorful cakes....

and just as we thought we cannot find it, WE FOUND IT!!!!









arent these cakes lovely and certainly they always bring back childhood memories...
and we bought two for each of us...



you cant find these cakes in most of the confectionery already... they are facing out, now cakes either come in the form of cheese, blackforest, tiramisu or whatever they have it out there...
Probably these are too creamy and non-healthy that's why bakers dont bake them anymore..
But baby loves them... so much....hee

We waited and waited and waited and we walked round and round and round Chinatown...



and Mr & Mrs Jun were stil at VivoCity dating...
hahhaa...
we cancelled the dinner with them and had dinner on our own...
I suggested the Claypot Frog Legs at Chinatown!!
(wanted to go Geylang but abit lazy)

We ordered tofu.... This tofu is super yummy! Must try!!!





and of course frog legs... yummy~!!


Baby didnt like the too watery congee and I find it was alright.. maybe I was too hungry.. haha...
Then we took a cab home...
End of an off day.
