Huimin's Wedding

It was Huimin's Wedding yesterday, 28th February 2008..

It was also her birthday..
It was indeed a special day..

Huimin is my cousin.. We lived in the same block and played together since we were little..

Our childhood days were filled of many wonderful memories and we were all so close like real siblings..

She is the 3rd one in her family to get married, her two elder sisters have a daughter each, and they are namely my beautiful nieces Avril and Chloe..

Coming June is their youngest bro's turn.. I simply can't wait for that day..

4 of them are my closest cousins and it's a wonderful feeling to see them going through the different phases of life..

I graced the occasion right from the morning till the dinner at night..

Woke up at 5.30am and reached her place at around 7.15am..

My cousins were all there, including my dad and my sister..

Huimin was all prepared waiting for the groom, Simon to arrive..

I understand that kinda feeling, because 8 months ago, I went through the same as what she did yesterday.. Hee...

At around 3.30pm, the bride and groom had a bike convoy to the hotel..

So we all went downstairs to have a look at the special arrangement..

See, like I mention in the previous post, Little Chloe is Ms Ferrari..

She even has a Ferrari cap of her size...

The Harleys arrived....

If you know Harley, you'll know the amount of noise 7 Harleys can create..

They made the residents all look outta their flats..haha.. COOL!

The Newly-Wed...

All ready to head to the Hotel..

After they left for the hotel, I took a rest at my aunt's place with Chloe, Chloe's mum and dad before joining them at the hotel for the Solemnization..

It was a touching scene...

The couple exchanged their vows and rings..

It was a special moment..

Simon cried because he was simply too touched, too overwhelmed and too lost for words..

I nearly cried but I held back my tears...

They are now officially man and wife... So sweet...

Chloe's mummy, 2nd sis to the bride, another dear cousin of mine cried seeing her new brother-in-law in tears.. And that is her husband laughing at her..haha...

"Why mummy cry? Who made my mummy cry?"

And then little Chloe cried with her mummy.. haha... So ke ai....

I was hungry and was afraid dinner would start late.. So I got darling to buy us some Mcdonalds..

Feeding pretty Avril with fries... Can see she quite hungry also.. hehe..

After the solemnization, we went up to the bridal suite and "settle" our Mcdonalds...

The view was magnificent from the 24th storey...

Avril munching the fries and enjoying the cold cold drinks happily..hehe..

Nice ballroom setting.. Cosy and comfortable...

The wedding favour for our table is a pair of love chopsticks for everyone..

I think it should meant something like 2 people sticking together like a pair of chopsticks..

Cannot be separated, else it won't be of any use...

I love the chopsticks, they are beautiful...

Hope Simon and Huimin will always be a pair of inseparable chopsticks..

So I took a picture with the chopsticks, even though I really hate to be in front of the camera now.. =P

The dinner was a special one..

The 1st March-in was Huimin singing Lover's Concerto, walking into the ballroom alone with Simon waiting on the stage..

I was so touched, I cried.. Same goes for many others...

Didn't have the "hand" to take any photo cuz I was busy clapping and crying..

Darling took a few shots but was too blur cuz didnt set the camera settings properly..

The 2nd March-in, the couple rode the Harley into the ballroom..

I must say it was very creative and really special...

I've never attended a dinner like theirs before..

Then the last dish was a Dessert buffet..

Guests helped themselves to the wide spread of sumptous and delicious desserts..

I didn't have much cuz I was quite full and sleepy already..

But Darling accidentally ate a durian flavoured dessert (he hates durian)..

He nearly choked on it while he was swallowing..

In the end he swallowed it and that gave his goosebumps all over and he got super uncomfortable by the taste.

haha.. I was laughing and at the same time, felt sorry for him.. =P

Just as we were about to leave, we caught two men sitting on the edge of the stage..

Looking shag and bored...hahhaa..

They are Mr Soo and Mr Yeo with their girls asleep in their arms.. hehe..

Such a funny but sweet scene...

So cute to see the girls fell asleep in the comfort of their daddies' arms...

Darling and me kept laughing.. Mr Yeo made funny faces at the camera..hehe..

Dear, don't laugh at people ya.. You'll join the "club" very soon...hehe...

It was an enjoyable day even though it was tiring...

I remembered 8 months ago when I had my wedding ceremony as well..

I just wanna say it was definitely a special day for the couple...

I wish Huimin and Simon eternal bliss, happy and blessed marriage and hope they'll have lil Simon or lil Huimin soon, so my bb will have didi or mei mei...

Simon must not bully our ah mian ya... if not the Angs will not let u off.. hehe..

Please take good care of her... The Ang girls are gems okie (including me, darling must take good care of me also oh)... hehe..

Now Huimin's wedding is over, the next event on the Ang Calendar will be the arrival of our bb..

So guys, start saving for my bb's full month ang bao and Junling's wedding in June ya... Hee...

Chinese New Year 2008

Happy Lunar New Year to all!!

Today is the 4th day of CNY 2008...

The last day of my 6 days mini holiday.. (sobs... =p)

The past 6 days have been fun....

Tuesday me and darling was off...

We went to get a new camera just in time for CNY and for the arrival of bb..

We got ourselves the new Canon Powershot G9!!

So of course we would have to try out the new camera...

It's a 12.1 megapixel camera...

Cool yeah?

Hope the new camera will serve us good.. And now our Sony old camera can RIP liao.. =p

On Chinese New Year Eve, we had reunion dinner at home with darling's family.. and we had our first Yu Sheng...

Darling was acting all pro and I must admit he really does know how to take nice pictures! =D

Seriously I only love the crackers.. =P

And then we invaded it...

Like all Chinese New Year, the first day's program was quite 'standard'...

First it was to my dad's place, then to visit my ah gong then to my uncle's place in AMK..

This was taken by me at my ah gong's place..

We were all watching Mythbusters on Discovery Channel.. hehe..

Yeah, that's my darling in his golden tie for the new year, and my bro & sis in the background..

Then we proceed to AMK, gathering with my side of the family...

& as usuals, we helped ourselves to the goodies like any other CNY...

Well, I always make it a point to be well-dressed and dolled up for CNY..

To me, CNY is a very important occasion and I love CNY..

This year, I really had lotsa problems sourcing for my CNY outfits..

Not only that, I didn't really like how I appear on camera..

See the swollen face and the extra pounds on me? =(

I just keep reminding myself, its only 1 month plus to go...

Then after that, it was to baby's ah gong's place to bai nian...

There we had our 2nd Yu Sheng from Sakae Sushi...

Lastly, it was back to papa's place for steamboat cum Yu Sheng again!

haha.. we had 3 Yu Shengs in 2 days..

But then again, I only ate the crackers.. =P

& the difference between papa's yu sheng and the other 2 yu shengs was that the one papa bought has Abalone!!

So I had crackers and abalone this time!

2nd day of CNY, we went to Chloe's (my little niece) place..

and we had a family photo taken..

Though house visiting can be quite tiring, I've enjoyed myself this CNY..

Now that CNY is ending in another few days time, it's looking forward to bb's arrival in March..

Me and darling simply can't wait for our little precious to arrive..

Wonder who does he resembles more? Me or darling? hehe..

We shall see...

As I've mentioned in the previous post, we've got nice stickers for bb's little wardrobe..

Got this wallpaper thingy from some shop in Causeway Point and here is how bb's wardrobe looks like now...

This is daddy serious at work... It wasn't as easy as you think sticking on that border..

Darling spent so much time working on it..

Our precious's 1st wardrobe

Yesterday my dad, a.k.a our precious's grandfather, hand-made a little wardrobe for our bb arriving in March..

Today papa had it delivered fresh to my place..
Definitely a handsome little wardrobe for our little precious one..
There it stands in the nursery room we prepared for our bb..

Maybe it is slightly, just slightly too big a wardrobe..
But a shopaholic mummy like me will definitely fill it all up.. hehe..

We specially want it in white..
Pure and clean..
And darling said we gonna get some stickers and decorate the wardrobe for our bb...

I can't wait to decorate it.. =P
But first, we would have to find some really nice stickers..
Will definitely show the "finished" work of the wardrobe..
More stuff are coming in.. Cot.. Cradle.. Clothes...
and then when our little precious arrives, he will already have 4Cs..

shu uemura Hard 9 Formula Eyebrow Pencil

Okie, this post is for passerby:

Firstly, I would like to clarify that shu uemura special Hard 9 Formula eyebrow pencil does not break easily. I personally use it and have used so many of them, and I never had any problem with them breaking..

Hmm, perhaps you could have dropped it without you knowing or it was not properly handled with.. We do have customers whose pencils do break but they admit they had dropped their pencils to result in such cases.

Just ensure that the pencil is always well sharpened by shu's beauty stylist and try your best not to drop it. I love the Hard 9 Formula and have not used any other brow pencil ever since I started using it. I hope the same problem will not happen to a new pencil if you were to buy 1 again.

Today is a lazy day for both me and my darling..
We woke up and went to have breakfast at Crystal Jade..

Unfortunately almost all of the items I wanted are out of stock at the point of shipping and they could only ship 1 pathetic item across... I'm so disappointed...





Just a night dress I ordered so I could wear during my confinement, and after my pregnancy..

I will have to shop again soon and make sure they send me what I want.. =P

Last Sunday went to father-in-law's company's family day at Sentosa..
It was a "Sweat-all-out-Day" for me..
Being 7 months pregnant already, I get warm and perspire so much easily compared to a few months ago.... I was indeed so grumpy because of the hot weather!

We took pictures, but I feel my face has became a little "swollen" due to water retention and the extra weight I've put on during pregnancy, I shall not upload all of them.. =P

Tomorrow I will continue to keep this blog alive..
hehe.. after so long, after so many lazy weeks..
