清明节

It's the 清明 season now....
Also known as Tombsweeping.
During this festival, things that people do are paying respect to ancestors and cleaning up the tombs and altar..

Today, the Ang family went to Lim Chu Kang Cemetery..
To pay respect to my beloved lovely ah ma (granny)..
Who left us on the 29th April 2001...
When I was only 15...
8 years has passed....
But I still miss her, dearly..

This is the 1st time Alvis baby is joining us in tombsweeping exercise..
After his lunch, while waiting to set off...

I introduced this to him, and I put it on me and do some movements as if I were listening to some music..
He imitates...
"Grooving" when having the headphones on him.. cute.. hee..

Last night I went to get some stuff to offer to my late granny...
As my sis and dad already got quite a bit of stuff...
I got this extra for my granny...

We set off to the cemetery around 1+pm...
The weather was clear...
Not raining, and not hot...
Perfect cooling weather..



The Angs, busy at work..
Cleaning, displaying all the food we've brought for our ah ma...
Preparing all the stuff to burn...


As usual, it's always a very BIG thing...
So many of us would go together...
Each family prepared some food, bought some food..
It was an annual BIG event for the Angs...

Oh ya, I bought the following blazor and shaver for my ah gong..
Offered them together to my ah ma, she will pass them to my ah gong.. =)





Someone even bought a look-a-like LV handbag for my ah ma..

We were supposed to count 1, 2 and 3 and shout "Huat" ah!
As usual too, this is a very ANG family doing...

We all appeared so lively and happy tombsweeping today..
But I know..
Everyone still misses my granny badly...
I'm very sure..

Please look after everyone in the family..
Big and small...
Ensure everyone's safe and sound, healthy and happy..
We miss you both here and you both will always be in our heart..
Shall I be me in my next life, I'll still want to be your grand daughter...
