On the way...

Our baby is on the way....
We're leaving for the hospital soon...
Will be back with updates asap...
Wish me a smooth delivery!

Countdown 1 day...

Yes, it's the 17th...
Less than 24 hours, I'll be at Thomson Medical Centre, to await the arrival of my bb..
*excited*
Yesterday after having breakfast, I popped by a provision shop in the neighborhood and found something "new"...
I've not seen this anywhere yet..
Cadbury has only Dairy Milk and Peppermint flavor as far as I know..
So this is a new launch? hee.. I'm not sure, but I love Caramello...
They used to produce Caramello ice-cream.. But now I can't find them in supermarkets either.. =(

Then, because I'll be on confinement for a month soon...
We went for a little indulgence at Jack's Place last night for dinner...
And I went to have another coconut...
This time I shared it with darling...

It was pouring heavily...haha..
You can see the water droplets reflection on my darling's glasses.. hehe.. Looks funny.. =P
I got some strawberries again, but this time it's from Korea..
Slightly more expensive than US strawberries, but definitely the quality is better..
These red, fresh strawberries are certainly Y-U-M-M-Y!!
Anyway, Darling is on leave already, all prepared for the big day..
Today, we did some last minute shopping, plus a visit to the Kuan Yin Temple at Rochor..
It rained very heavily when we were done praying...
So we had to seek some shelter and wait for the rain to get lighter...
Then darling noticed this tree that he said looks like sakura blossom in Japan...
Hahaha..
Check it out..
Seriously it does look alike...
Too bad there's only one...
If there were a few of the same kind together, I think we can really imagine ourselves in Japan..
hahaha...
After that we went to a place where darling always like to go on a Sunday..
And that is the flea market at China Square Central...
Every vendor sells almost the same type of merchandise there..
Darling just simply likes to go there and look at the toys, the collectibles and some old-school stuff..
This is my don't know how many visit there liao... hehe..
Me... The swollen me... hee..
Went to Beppu Mekan for late lunch...
Had the usuals...
Darling had all the peas to himself... me don't like.. =P
Yummy...
Before my confinement...
One month of confinement food...
Yucks... =P
I will definitely miss all the good delicious food during this coming one month..
I'll make sure I'll have all the yummy food after my confinement... =P
I'll be admitting to TMC tonight...
Hopefully my labour will be a smooth and a fast one...
Can't wait to see my baby....
I will blog again before my delivery if I have the time..
Please pray for me too.. hee..

Countdown 3 days...

Happy Saturday Everyone...

Like I've mentioned earlier, Dr Lawrence said bb is still not coming out yet as on the appt on 12th..
And this 22nd will be the EDD.. By right, if bb still is not out by then, I would have to admit to TMC on 21st night to induce so bb will be delivered just nice on the 22nd...
But according to the lunar calendar my mother-in-law checked, it's not really an "auspicious" day on the 22nd.. 18th was the closest "better" date.. So she was saying since need to induce, might as well choose a better date to induce..

So, which means, I would have to admit to TMC on the 17th to do the induction!!
Which also means that it's only 2 - 3 days away from now!!!!
Isn't it scary? Wahahaha...
At first I was counting down to 22nd..
Now I have to bring it forward by 4days!

On the way back from breakfast with darling just now, I was thinking to myself...
"The tummy that I've been carrying for this 10months will soon be gone... Should I feel happy or sad?"
I think I feel happy because finally I get to see my bb for the first time and I will be able to get some weight off myself...
And I will feel sad cuz I will definitely miss this special feeling of carrying my bb inside me wherever I go and to feel every little movement of his, bonding with him every little second...

I'm sure darling is feeling the same as I do right now....
Lotsa thoughts running through the head...
As the date is drawing near...
What should we expect?
How long will the labour take?
How pain will it be?

Can you guys feel my excitement and anxiety??! hahaha...
I just pray that everything will turn on smoothly... =)

Wifey's Thoughts...

Time really flies...
My 10months pregnancy will soon end with the arrival of our little prince..
It has been a wonderful 9+months, and I guess I should share with everybody some little thoughts of mine...

About 8 months ago, we held our customary wedding on 20th July 2007...
Still remember all the preparation works we did together just for that big important day of ours..
It was truly unforgettable..
Shortly after that, I was pregnant and we were both so happy and excited about it...
I must admit it was not that easy.. This being the first time, we both learnt alot these few months regarding pregnancy and childbirth...
If it hadn't been for my hubby, I don't think I would have such an enjoyable pregnancy...
From the very first joyous expression on his face when he found out I was pregnant, I know that he will build the world's happiest family with me.. =)
I believe his role plays the most important part during this whole pregnancy..

During the first trimester, I was sleepy and exhausted everyday...
He made sure I sleep as soon as I came back from work and ensured that I had enough rest..
He bought me folic acid and reminded me to take it everyday at the start of the pregnancy...
He prepared milk and breakfast for me everyday without fail...
He brought me to every single pre-natal check ups..
He surfed the net, read up on pregnancy, so he could share more information with me and be aware of what he can help on his part..
He made sure I don't go hungry and always satisfied any of my cravings (though I rarely had any.. =P)

After we got to know the gender of the baby during the second trimester, I started to shop for bb's necessities, darling never failed to share his opinion about which and what to buy..
Then my figure start getting out of shape, I became so conscious about it...
He comforted me and gave me all the assurance I needed..

During this last stage, I became so slow in my movements...
He always held on to my hand and walk slowly by my side..
Giving me any support I needed...
We used to walk so fast and go anywhere on our legs together.. I think he sure miss all the fun times we had traveling here and there before I was pregnant..
and he never fails to be patient, caring and understanding all this while..

There were many sacrifices from the both of us...
I think the biggest sacrifice for a woman would be our physical body..
I used to have such a petite frame, with a taut and toned body...
Now I can see my stretched skin with marks and the extra fats on my body after all these months without exercising...
I must say it was really hard to accept..
And I feel sad looking at myself in the mirror now when I see the marks and cellulite..
But for the baby, i know it's all worth it.....
and of course it's very important that the hubby understands all these..
We, women, would definitely want a stretchmark and fat free, slim and pretty pregnancy, if we can control it.. Right ladies? =P

Now that bb will be arriving anytime, I would like to express some heartfelt thanks to some of the very important people who I really would like to thank..

First it would be to my hubby...
Thank you so much for all the love and care you've given me unconditionally all these while...
You've put in effort to making yourself the best hubby in the world to me..
Though we do have times when we had disagreements, you always gave in your best you can to make me feel happier..
I really truly appreciate all the things you've done for me all these while, pampering me like a princess..
I know we will both work together very hard to give our bb the best we can...
And I know we'll have the happiest family.. You, me and bb... =)

Secondly would be to thank my papa...
He had been very nice during my pregnancy as well...
Making tonic for me whenever he has the time...
Always willing to cook what I feel like eating and always asking what I want to eat so he can satisfy my taste buds.. =P
Though he doesn't read my blog, I'm sure he knows that I'm sincerely thankful right from the bottom of my heart and I appreciate everything he has done for me all these while..

Thirdly would be to my siblings..
They also gave me special treatment ever since I was pregnant.. =P
Like for e.g., I don't have to do the dishes after a meal back at papa's place..
Helping me get anything I need...
Ensure that I'm always well taken care of..
Thanks for the VIP-style treatment.. =)

Then its to my cousins that are just like my sisters..
Like Avril's mummy, Chloe's mummy, Dennis's mummy...
Answering to all my weird and never ending queries..
They are like my helplines..
I always ask them anything that I'm unsure of and they never fail to assure me and answer to my doubts..
I really learnt alot from them.. Thank you mummies...

Next I would like to thank my colleagues...
They also played an important role during this period of time...
They helped me so much and took great care of me when I was at work..
Very understanding and considerate colleagues I have that I am thankful for...

And many others.. My relatives and friends...
All have shown great concern throughout my pregnancy...
All as excited as me...
All as eager as me to meet my bb...

I think through big events in your life, like wedding, having a child, makes one understand his/her family members better, and its through these events that either you become closer with your family members or you drift further apart...
I am very lucky, contented, happy and touched to have these people in my life... =)
I'm happy that I'm bringing my bb into such a family that I think, to me, is the best in the world..
I'm glad that as we grow, our relationship gets closer and closer.. Not just me and my immediate family.. But with everyone in the whole family..
We may not be the richest, but I'm sure we're the happiest... In our own world...

Haha, I'm not exactly sure of what I'm typing, seriously..
All the thoughts just keep flowing in..
Sorry if it bores you... Just pardon me for this entry.. =P

And to my ah ma in heaven....
It's great pity you're not here physically with us to grace all these big events of your grandchildren's..
Everytime there is a happy occasion in our Ang Family, I think of how great it will be if you're still around...
Each of us getting married...
Each of us having our children, your great-grandchildren...
But you've never left our heart...
You're not forgotten, and never will be...
I know in our heart, you're always here with us...
Coming Mother's Day will be your 7th year anniversary...
I miss you very much...

I know this is gonna sound very silly, but I still want to say that I wish I could still be ME next lifetime, next next lifetime, next next next lifetime....
So I can be my ah gong ah ma's grand-daughter..
So I can be my papa mama's daughter...
My hubby's wife...
My sisters and brother's sister...
My cousins' cousin...
My uncles and aunties' niece...

BB's Ride

It's Darling's off day today.. YAY!
I was happy cuz I won't be home alone doing nothing..
But the weather wasn't that good today...
In fact it rained the whole day except during the time when we went to the gynae..
Lucky us...

Dr Lawrence said BB is still not coming yet...
We'll wait awhile more and see... Shall see Dr Lawrence on the 20th again...
Because the coconut drink they sell at the pasar malam was so sweet and nice, I had one again on our way home... =P

I thought this photo looked like as if we were on holiday somewhere in Bangkok...
Haha.. I think I think of holiday too much already..
Anyway the coconut drink was yummy!
I didn't know coconut juice was so tasty until recently...
Never in my life of 21 years have I drank coconut juice before.. As far as I could remember.. =P

Then when we got home and when it started to pour heavily again, BB's ride arrived at our door-step!!
I was so happy it's here, quickly went to take camera...

Darling taking out the stroller from the box... hehe...

Here it comes...
You see, we were really excited we opened it right at the door there.. Haha..

Tah-dang! It's outta the box....

Now, let's try to figure things out...

We didn't know how to open the stroller man...
So must read the manual, darling...

And then.... After much sweat, we managed to fix it up! Haha...
Plus the toy that I mentioned earlier that was a gift from the auntie who sold us the pram...

So nice right... Hehe...
I like it so much...
I hope our bb will love it... =)

And then it continue to rain and rain and rain...
We spent the whole day at home...
Went to the supermarket just now to get ourselves some snacks to munch...
That's about it for today...
Though we did nothing much, but I truly enjoyed darling's company..
A little sad that he has to work tomorrow and the next off day is Sunday..
That is 3 more days to go...
I'm looking forward to Sunday...

"Baby, I love you!" =P

Junkai's Birthday

Yesterday was darling's off.. I was so happy... =)
I was craving for prata at Springleaf, somewhere along Upper Thomson Road..
So I woke up early and prepared myself and got darling to bring me there.. =P
Before we left the house, I remember that I still have a Milka Caramel Chocolate Bar inside the fridge that dear Emmaline got for me from Poland..
I didn't bear to eat it, until I saw that the expiry date is nearing, I think it's time I finish it up...
So, to my last Milka Bar, "Goodbye".. hehe... Shall get Emmaline to get me more the next time she fly to Poland..

This is one of the best chocolate I've ever tasted in my life... Too bad they don't carry this flavor in Singapore....

So there we were at the prata shop....
I was so hungry...
This was what darling had... I had the same amount of serving as well.. Hehe..
Fattening stuff... with sugar and curry... Yummy!!

Okie, I decided to show the swollen me this time.... =P

Don't worry, I make sure I'll regain back to my original shape and size shortly after I give birth!

After having pratas, we went to the IT Show at Suntec..
Because of the crowd, darling went in to squeeze with the people without me..
He needed to get an external hard disk..
So I shopped around while waiting for darling...
Was so tired that I decided to have a cuppa chocolate at Starbucks while waiting for him...
It was crowded everywhere.. I can't afford to squeeze with the people...
Ever since I was pregnant, I hate crowds...
Their Signature Hot Chocolate is indeed very nice... =P *slurps*

Then we went to Bugis to get a present for my lil brother because it was his birthday yesterday..
Got him a Graniph Tee, hope he likes it...
Then a cake to celebrate the occasion...

So, off to papa's place..
Had steamboat for dinner, just like during Chinese New Year...
Except that our steamboat was not functioning properly, so gotta borrow my aunt's..
Luckily we have relatives staying under the same block.. =P
I've always like the fact that me and my relatives stay near each other..
Not because we can borrow stuff of course..
But because that makes us close to one another, very strong family bond we have there! =)

So anyway, we had the "blow-cake" session...
Our lil bro turned 17 yesterday...

The candles are getting more and more each year.. Hee...
But you're still our little brother...

Bro and his girlfriend, Celina...

Papa's 4 precious gem... 5 actually.. Plus my darling...
6 actually.. One in my tummy.. =P

Then the greatest father on earth with 5 of his 6 gems...

Formal family photo...

Then an informal one...
With our signature "Peace" hand sign...
Pa, I know your eyes very big, don't need strain them so wide.. Hehe...
You're so cute, pa, love you...

Love my darling, love my family...
I had a wonderful off day with darling, & some quality time with my family..
I'm happy... =)

(even though I'm so swollen now... hahaha...)

It was also New Balance 20th Anniversary...

Some pictures taken at the dope event...
Then again, I wasn't in any of the pictures.. =(
haha...
Because I don't want to see my swollen face... =P
Nice stickers on the window display....

It has a roof-top access like a pent-house...
We celebrated last Christmas up there... Totally awesome place to hang out..

Thanks for the invitation! We were glad to be there to grace the event..
Leftfoot Anthropology is located at Holland Village, above Thai Express Restaurant...
Do visit the store for fresh and cool sneakers!

Strawberries...

I have nothing better to do, so just wanna share a little experience I had today..
Sometimes I really do agree with the saying that 'Early birds get worms to eat" (haha, a chinese saying)..

Cuz I managed to buy very nice strawberries from the supermarket!!
It's really hard to get such nice strawberries from the NTUC here everytime I drop by in the evening...
So today, being one of the first few customers, I managed to buy a box of nice strawberries to satisfy my taste buds... =P

Total there were 14... I ate 6 already and because they taste so great, I decided to take a picture of the remaining 8 before I finish them all up...

Well, I know they are just strawberries....
haha.. I know I'm silly..
But who can resist nice and fat and juicy strawberries?
I shall go again tomorrow!
NTUC, please make sure you replenish stock ya, thanks! =)
Will be going to Leftfoot Holland Village Official opening later with darling..
So hopefully I'll come back with more pictures!!

Not Fair

Yesterday got a call from ah li around 4+pm and she told me she had a piece of bad news for me...

I couldn't guess what it was...
And when she broke the news to me, I screamed...

THE GIRLS ARE GOING HONG KONG FOR OUR COMPANY TRIP!!!!!!!!!
ARGH!!!!!!!!!

Sob...
They'll be going on the 30th, this end of the month...
I'll still be doing my confinement..
Sob..

I have not been on a holiday for so long.. =(
I miss Hong Kong..
The dim-sums...... *drools*

Darling, you bring me go holiday ok?
Then again, I think we also wouldn't be going on a holiday so soon either...
Probably wait till bb is at least 1 or 2 years then we'll bring him with us..
I will never leave him at home and enjoy myself... That is very selfish.. =P
So bb, mummy and papa wait for you then we go holiday together... Hehe...

Darling's Off Day 2

Today is darling's 2nd off day...
We slept pretty late last night, at around 2am....
Because I couldnt figure out how to change a color of an object in an image using Photoshop...
I seriously don't know how to use Photoshop man... I wonder how come people can do wonders with Photoshop.. =P
Anyone can guide me on that? hee..
So I spent so long trying to help darling with an image...
Till now, still not done yet, shall try doing it again later..
Anyway, we woke up at around 10+, still in time for darling to run down to McDonalds to get us breakfast...
Yummy.. I love hotcakes!! & I love having breakfast, lunch, dinner with my darling.. =P
After breakfast, darling went to have his hair cut...
His hairstylist is off today, but he desperately need to have it cut so he just asked for anybody...
At first I was quite worried that the guy at the salon didnt know how to cut the type of "hairstyle" darling wants... cuz he doesnt look skilled...
But the result turned out OK.. still satisfactory.. I hope darling likes and feel comfortable in his short hair...
We had no where to go actually.. But darling said gotta bring me out, if not I'll be stuck at home to rot for the next 4 days when he goes to work..
So I suggest we go to some heartland area, out of town... Like Tampines...haha..
While waiting for me to get ready, darling put the mahjong tiles together and take a photo of them...
Very nice mahjong tiles my mother-in-law has at home... But no one comes to play with me.. =( hehe.

Shall ask my sisters over for a mahjong session one of these days man...
The bus journey was damn long...
We took the bus all the way to Bedok to go have lunch there..
Darling said there's nice food at Bedok Interchange...& indeed, we found a stall selling nice Curry Noodles and the famous Tiong Bahru Chwee Kueh...

Delicious~!!
The Chwee Kueh were so soft and tasty.... Hmm....
Next was to Cash Converters... haha..
We sold our old digital camera to them...
Forgot to take picture of the old camera with our new camera...
Anyway only managed to fetch $80 for a still-as-good-as-new Sony 5.1 megapixel camera...
Better than nothing.. Better than the camera sit at home and do nothing.. hehe...
Goodbye Sony... You've served us good for those few years... Thanks bud, hope the next owner will take good care of u.. =P
After that we went to Tampines Mall to walk around, bought a new expansion pack for my The Sims 2 game...
It is to kill the time that I'm gonna stay at home till the day bb comes...
I hope it'll keep me entertained for these 2 weeks...
Just installed it and played abit.. Not bad.. New things to explore..
It's gonna keep me occupied when darling is off to work...
Some photos taken last few weeks with our new Canon G9...
Really a good camera...
Always make the food we took look so yummy...
Yeah, sometimes we like to go dating at IKEA and go have some meatballs and chicken wings for lunch too...heheh...
These two photos of darling was taken when we went Automobile Megamart to buy our ride..
So when is the car coming..... We're waiting.......
Hehe....
May... May it'll be here..
Hopefully it'll be here before my birthday.... =)
