For 2008

In just another while, it's good bye to 2008 and welcome 2009...

So here I am, penning my thoughts for this whole 2008....

This has been an eventful year...
I spent my first Chinese New Year with a big belly in February...

In March, we brought Alvis to world...
That was the most important phase of my life, besides my wedding...
Still remember how he looked the moment he was out of my tummy for nearly 10months..

In May, we had our car....

In October I changed a new job, made the right switch as now I have more time for Alvis baby...

We spent 1st X'mas and many 1st with Alvis baby..
He brought so much fun and laughter and happiness to my life...

We purchased our first house this year..
But still waiting for the handover and legal procedures to be completed by March'09...

Many things happened this year that made this year extra meaningful and eventful...
and also time passes so fast this year...

Admist all the happy events that happened to me...
This year I lost my dearest grandpa..
That was another most heartbreaking event of my life after I lost my grandma 7years ago...
It's coming to 100days since he left, but I'm still missing him...
and still still missing my grandma who had left 7years ago..
Sigh..

Anyway, just gonna keep this entry a simple one, as I hope that 2009 will bring more exciting, happy and joyous events...

Looking forward to 2009..
Alvis will be celebrating his first birthday...
We'll be getting our own love nest...
I'm turning 23.
Hubby's turning 31..
Baby Liz is arriving...
I hope I'll be attending 2 weddings in 2009....
1 is Nikki baby's, 1 is Ah Li's....

I hope work will be smooth...
Hubby's work will soar greater heights..
Alvis to grow healthily and happily..
Everyone in my family, big big small small have good health...
Kai will get good grades for his O's..
Min will find a good job...
Hui to earn more money...

I also wish for more world peace..
less riots, wars and terrorist acts...
the economy to prosper...
and everyone to be happy.

Goodbye 2008!!

HELLO 2009!!!!!

Stay Home Saturday with Alvis...

So happy that it's Saturday again!
This week and the coming week are so short!

So very happy...
Cuz it means more time for Alvis baby....

Today I set up the ball pit for him...
It's kinda cute.. and interesting..
I think when he knows how to walk, it'll be a more fun thing to play in...
Now he probably just sit there and play with the balls, or crawl slowly out the two openings at the side...
hehe...

Peeping at my darling....

"so shiok, so fun"

Body in, Head out..
hehe....

Pose #1...
haha..
with his favorite color RED ball....

POse #2

Pose #3

Pose #4 - HaPPY!!!

"hahaha, mommy are u sure you wanna squeeze in?"

"okie, come and join me!"

"eh.. mommy, what's that up there?"

must be looking at the lantern he loves to look at..
when you ask him "alvis, lantern where?",
he will raise his head to look at the lantern above..

Free Flow Saliva...
anyone?

In the midst of playing, 3rd aunt came up with a plate of sushi made by Agnes yi-yi..
SO nice!!
I quickly ate a few before sis and bro wake up.
it's nice, thanks Agnes!

Mommy: Alvis, you making a wish ah?

I tried cooking porridge for Alvis for the fun of it..
Went to buy spinach in the morning when we went downstairs for our usual morning stroll + breakfast...
I bought some sweet potatoes, but end up it's not the ones that I wanted to get...
so luckily I bought some organic carrots puree, i added them into the spinach porridge i cooked...

Tah-Dang..
Using a new bowl and spoon from Tommy Tippee? i think that's the brand.. hehe..
It indicates too hot when it changes to yellow color...
That is so cool!

Alvis baby finished everything!!!

"Yum-yum, mommy's always the best!" hehe..

but Alvis baby is going on milkstrike recently..
he drinks milk only at night and the most plus one early in the morning feed..
so Y-gong suggest I continue give him his cereals, which are much more nutritious than plain porridge, which I feel are just plain carbo too..

After his evening bath-time, he loves to sit there...
chew on his new chocolate bar..

and today he was watching Peter Pan on Stay Home Saturday Movie..
hehe..

he was very fascinated by the show..

so in love with this little darling of mine..
he will chew on his bar, and if he is sick of it, he will just throw on the floor..
you pick it up, clean it and offer to him..
he will take and slowly let it on the ground again..
haha, that he is trying to say, i have enough, thank you. =D

After I tucked him to bed, nothing to do...
I did this:

Alvis' Favorite Food for now:

Chicken Rice Cereal as dinner, Oats with Prune for lunch..
I love the oats with prune one.. it smells so nice..

Bonjour Milk Bread and Heinz Banana Rusk for tea breaks with favorite plain water...

Heinz Organic Vanilla Custard for breakfast....
This is fragrant too...

Healthy Times Garden Fresh Carrots...
"Garden Fresh" sounds like some salad on some restaurants' menu.. hehe..

His milk milk that he will cry at night for...

His Chocolate...
(like parents, like son.. we love chocolates and so does Alvis!)

Pigeon Pumpkin Crackers for occasional snacks..
not an everyday treat...
crackers are heaty, so I only give like probably 2 -3 times per week? hehe..
the rest left opened I'll finish them all.. =P

Loooking forward to New Yr Eve's half day, New Yr's day off.. and the weekend to come!!!

***smooches and hugs for my little prince***

Alvis' 1st Christmas Part Two

Before I continue with our Christmas Day celebration..
Below are some photos taken with Alvis' 1st chocolate bar..
hehe...

He really knows how to enjoy..
"Snacking" with the TV on...

Wah.... nice....

Mum-mum...
Yummy....

Eyes still on TV...

Haha, he loves his chocolate bar..

On Christmas Day 25th December 2008, we woke up early..
Went to Compass Point for BK breakfast..
It's been ages since I last had BK breakfast..
everything was alright, but I find Mc's eggs nicer..

After breakfast, went home to let Alvis have his nap, before we go for a long day out...
Reached Chloe's house at around 2pm...

This was the door gift for children...
Some animal balloons..
Thanks Chloe yi-yi...

Alvis met Cameli jie-jie, Yi-Ma, 5th gu-po, 4th gu-po with didi and big mm-po...
Smiles were on everybody's faces when they saw Alvis..
"Merry Christmas folks!"
hehe...

"Mommy, the slide looks interesting"

Mommy: "OKie, You may try....."

haha, still he prefers to sit down and play with toys...
think he's too young to know how much fun a slide can bring to him..
hehe...

WE then played a game...
It's like a guessing game..
We were each given a piece of paper with about 2o+ questions...
We were supposed to see who can answer the most questions correctly..
Questions included "Someone who wore green underwear", "Someone who can don't talk for whole day..."
We were supposed to guess who's that person as the answers.....

At the end of the game, the person with the highest score gets a prize and will be deemed know everyone in the family best...

Everyone really was having fun...
Simon wanted me to tell him some answers to the questions...

Well, I helped a little.. hehe...

Agnes yiyi and Jason ah gu cracking their brains...

Everyone was thinking hard...

Even my brother was trying to figure out the answers while spinning the pen...

Guess who got the highest score??

.
..
...
....
.....
......

MEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I scored a highest of 20!!!
I know everybody best..
hahhaha!!!!
YAY!!

Mommy with Alvis in the Ferrari car..

Go baby go... drive around...

Ooh.. the movie they were watching was interesting!

Then suddenly, I don't know from where came this santa hat..
I don't remember wearing one before..
At least not in the most recent years...
So I put on it and snapped a few photos...

MAN!!!
Huge THIGHS from this angle!! hahaha...

And a family photo.... =)

Then Simon came along..
and volunteered to take a photo of us...

These were the 2 photos he took of us....

Damn artistic right??
haha...
I think it's very nice, very unique and very beautiful... =)

Yiyi with Alvis..

The log cake that my sis brought...

Nice angle from here, simon..
Good shot!

We left Chloe's place at around 4pm...
And headed off to Anthony & Siling's place at Robin Rd...
The dope people were having a BBQ at their condo..
and so happy that we were invited!!
=D =D

AT the waterfall that Alvis loves to look at and hear the sound of the water flowing..
But he looked so tired..
Yeah, he was tired that day..
whole day out..
poor baby...

Luckily I brought a little Thomas toy out to keep him entertained while waiting for the other guests to arrive...

They started BBQ..
Weather was fine..
Not too hot and a little windy..
Perfect Christmas!

The lady boss with Alvis entertaining the guests.....
While the mommy ate her dinner..
(behind, can u spot me? hehe...)

Alvis with one jie-jie...
Loves her necklace, he kept playing with it...

Boss with Alvis...
Playing, he was so happy...
He giggled and laughed so much!

and even showed his belly..
haa...

Uncle Ben with Alvis....

Uncle Ben with Alvis again....

Alvis was restless already...
Wanted to go home...
haha.
kept looking at the gate. =P

So we left at about 8.40pm..
Went home and quickly changed Alvis into his pyjamas..
And took photos of him with his christmas pressies...
The big silver box was from the bosses...
So nice..
Even me and hubby got our pressie from them...
Hubby got a Lacoste towel while me got a Christopher Vine mug, which we will use in our new house.. =P

I wanted Alvis to unwrap all the pressies himself....

But he was only interested in the big silver box lor..
hehe..
so i helped him tore a little opening on the wrapper and let him tore the rest off..

And Tah-Dang....!

Underneath that silver wrapper was a Thomas & Friends ball pit...
NICE!!
He still looking at it while the daddy snapped away...
I think he loves it.. =)

Alvis: "Woooeee, this creature is big!"

Still touching that big box... haha..
bet he wished we could set up the bit and let him dive into the balls immediately...

But sorry, no baby... it's bedtime already...

MOmmy: wait huh, mommy check the label see if the furs shed...

Alvis: "mommy, i think abit leh... better keep it till i bigger than let me hug it... meanwhile i'll just be very contented with my Thomas Ball Pit.."

Merry Christmas to my precious Alvis darling and hubby..
This 1st Christmas spent with Alvis was very enjoyable, happy and sweet..
I love every moment spent on this Christmas..
May all the Christmas-es to come be as nice...

Thanks for all the invitations to the parties.
Especially to Anthony and Siling..
For the BBQ and the presents..

This puts an end to Christmas 2008...
sweet sweet memories...
